An Afternoon with Kelli Austin

Kelli has always been one of my favorite models to shoot. Not only does she bring experience to our shoots, but she makes it so fun and honestly, easy! Her confidence and personality really shine through, and we always have a great time getting some amazing shots. Combine that with her amazing hair and makeup talents, and the fact that she's an awesome person in general, and we really couldn't go wrong!

This time she was actually modeling for me for a small shoot for Travel Portland featuring Hollywood Vintage and their halloween costumes. We decided to make an afternoon of it after, and do an editorial/fashion type shoot for our portfolios afterward. 

We shot around Hollywood Vintage to get some street type shots in, and Kelly brought some grunge 90s gear to rock out with. Afterward we went down the street to her apartment for an outfit change, and I got to meet her cute cat!

We walked to the Jupiter Hotel and Doug Fir Lounge after to get some more era-ish shots (and thanks for the drink, Kelli!) for a mix of nostalgia and 70s vibes. The aesthetic of both the Jupiter and Doug Fir already sets the tone for a not-so-forgotten era, and I'd totally recommend going for their amazing happy hour - and the hotel rooms are pretty dope too.
